Cross-border e-commerce sales increased by 82%1 over the previous year in 2020 as globally optimized retailers took advantage of new opportunities.
Global retail e-commerce, including automotive (excluding food and delivery services), will reach $3.9 trillion by the end of 2020, or 17% of all retail sales. In China, these online sales will reach 25% of the region’s total retail market2.

Amazon revealed in its latest statement (February), plus 38 percent for its sales in total throughout 2020, reaching $386.1 billion. Meanwhile, sales of its web services (AWS) accelerated 29.5 percent to $45.4 billion, up from $35 billion last year.
